Hold on, to me as we go. As we roll down this unfamiliar road. And although this wave is stringing us along. Just know you’re not alone, cause I’m going to make this place your home. Settle down, it'll all be clear. Don't pay no mind to the demons, they fill you with fear. The trouble it might drag you down. If you get lost, you can always be found. Just know you’re not alone, cause I’m going to make this place your home.

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry!! One month home + Update

So many of you have been harassing me about not updating the blog :)  So, you asked for it and here it is!  Cherry Blossom has been keeping us very busy and computer time is not really an option for this mama during the day.  Plus,  I went back to work last week so now my afternoons/evenings are spent loving on our little girl!  Right now she is outside with her daddy as mama tries to catch up on life.  Daddy got to go on a boy's this past weekend so don't worry about daddy!

So since the last update many important events have happened that I hope to post about in the next few days on here.  I do not want to put all of them in just this one post since each event deserves it's own page and of course there are MANY pictures to share!

Cherry Blossom is still adjusting very well.  She definitely knows who her mama and daddy are and if she gets separated from us, she is on the search for us!  She is still wary of our friends and family picking her up or taking her out of her car seat, but it is getting better.  She is eating new types of food every day, but we still have to be careful with what she eats and how much she eats because of her special need.  Her little body has a hard time processing food and we are still trying  to manage the constipation etc.

Many of you have asked about when her surgery will be to correct or help her special need.  I sent all of her medical information to Cincinnati Children's Hospital over a month ago and each time I email them they say that someone should be getting back to me soon about setting up an evaluation.  Until we have that evaluation we do not know what the surgery will entail.  Please continue to pray for this unknown!

She has been lucky enough to meet many of you already!  We appreciated all of the meals that were brought to us and the love shown for our little girl!  She has been to church twice now and loves to sway to the music.  This past Sunday she went with mama to Grandma and Grandpa's church and was surprised that no one clapped after a song was done.  Poor thing,  one day we will have to explain contemporary vs. traditional church services.   She has also been to visit her mama's school.  She was a hit in her squeaker shoes and enjoyed all of the attention.  I missed all of my student s and was so happy to show her off to many of them that have been following this blog.  Daddy could not be left out and had to take her for a visit at his work too!

I promise I will get to work on updating this blog!  She has celebrated her first Easter with us, she has turned 3 and she has now been with us for over a month.  God is so good!  Our little Sassy Girl is making herself at home!

The pictures below are of her with her first Cherry Blossom flower.  Our neighbor Joe loves to spoil her as much as we do and he brought this flower over to her one day and of course it was so meaningful to us.  She loves flowers and if you point them out she will try to smell them, even if they are on her dress, in a book or on the wall :)  Our little Cherry Blossom loves the outdoors, but would prefer to play on the driveway or patio.  I think because she cannot hear her squeaky shoes as well in the grass.  Which, by the way,  the squeaky shoes are not worn every day anymore.....Yay!  The girl does have an addiction to shoes and jackets though!  We are learning that bribery works!
