I still believe that God has been preparing me to be an adoptive parent all of my life. As a child, Annie, was my favorite movie and I loved to torture my brothers by watching it all of the time. I had the Annie dollhouse, multiple dolls and of course the record that I would play over and over again! I even went on to name two of my dogs after Annie and Molly, two of my favorite orphans from the movie.
The song, "Tomorrow", is going through my head today because tomorrow I will be on a plane headed to a special country that contains my little orphan, Cherry Blossom. I cannot believe that the day is finally here and I still have so much more to do! Maybe I should have taken off the whole week instead of just today to get ready. The Rock is coming home to help, but since I have now repacked everything twice and am considering doing it again he may want to stay at work.
Our plane leaves early in the morning and we will be spending the next two days in airports and in the sky. This is the one time that I am hoping that it does not snow because I do not want to be grounded at the Chicago airport! After we leave the United States it can snow all it wants!
Over the past few days we have been able to spend some quality time with many of our friends that have been with us along this journey. We have been prayed over, we have had our last American food at some of our favortie restaurants and we have been given many hugs. I do not know how many times I can thank this special group of people for being here for us as we have had our ups and downs of trying to become parents. It means the world to us and we are so thankful God brought us to Murfreesboro and New Vision Baptist Church!
This time tomorrow we will be sitting on a plane headed towards Korea!! 13 hours eeeekk! Hopefully we will be able to sleep and just enjoy being together. Little Cherry Blossom we are coming!!
Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. James 1:27
Hold on, to me as we go. As we roll down this unfamiliar road. And although this wave is stringing us along. Just know you’re not alone, cause I’m going to make this place your home. Settle down, it'll all be clear. Don't pay no mind to the demons, they fill you with fear. The trouble it might drag you down. If you get lost, you can always be found. Just know you’re not alone, cause I’m going to make this place your home.
